The Arts
Art & Drama
Lincoln fully embraces the BSD Arts Education Plan referred to as VAPA (Visual Arts and Performing Arts). Teachers at Lincoln follow the "Arts Integration" approach to teaching in which students engage in a creative process that connects an art form and another subject area (like math or science) to further develop critical thinking, advance achievement and motivate students to learn while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the creative and performing arts.

Music
Lincoln Elementary offers a comprehensive music program for all K-5 students, and a band program for 4th and 5th grade students. Students in 4th and 5th grade who elect to participate in the band program learn how to play a particular instrument, such as clarinet, alto sax, flute, trombone, trumpet, or percussion instruments.
Funding received through BCE grants has been instrumental in sustaining culturally rich programs like our music and VAPA programs for the betterment of our whole community.
